Extra tuition

If you think your child may need some extra help, you should first talk to school staff. Your child’s teacher or school guidance officer may be able to help.

Help with homework

Homework is intended to support student learning by consolidating and extending classroom learning. The amount of homework is balanced to allow sufficient time for family, recreation, and community and cultural activities.

Literacy and numeracy

Help your child develop the key literacy and numeracy skills they need, early in life.

Guidance and career counselling

Students may need help to plan their career paths. In Queensland schools, guidance officers can help. They work closely with students, families and teachers to provide support.
