Codrilla coal mine project

The EIS process for this project has now concluded.

Project summary

The Coppabella and Moorvale Joint Venture is the proponent for the Codrilla Coal Mine Project with Macarthur Coal having 73.3% ownership. The proponent made application on 29 June 2009 under section 71 of the Environmental Protection Act 1994 (EP Act) for the preparation of a voluntary environmental impact statement (EIS). The application was approved on 3 July 2009.

The EIS assessment report was issued to the proponent on 24 October 2011, completing the EIS process under Chapter 3, Part 1 of the EP Act.
