Learn what other information on birth parents you can search for when accessing adoption records.

When you ask for authorisation to access Queensland adoption records, you can also ask to search for other information on birth parents. You can ask to search for marriage and death records if the event happened in Queensland.

The search results may include:

• for a marriage
  • names of the people married
  • date and place of the marriage
  • the person(s) address at the time of marriage
• for a death
  • name
  • date and place of death
  • cause of death
  • burial or cremation details.

If the birth father or parent is not listed on the birth register, we may not be able to search for this information.
