Heavy vehicle inspections are now performed by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR). You can book a NHVR heavy vehicle inspection using our online service.
From 1 July 2024, heavy vehicle inspections will be completed at the NHVR's new site located at 30 Kelli Street, Mount St John (corner of Kelli Street and Jay Street).
Services offered at this location
- pre-booked programmed inspections of heavy vehicles more than 16 tonne gross vehicle mass
- pre-booked programmed inspections of trailers more than 10 tonne aggregate trailer mass
- pre-booked programmed inspections of light passenger vehicles (only minibus 3.5-4.5 tonne gross vehicle mass). Note: Approved Inspection Stations may also inspect these vehicles.
Services not offered at this location
- programmed inspections for light vehicles, including light passenger vehicles (taxis, limousines, ride share and minibuses) and heavy vehicles up to 16 tonne gross vehicle mass. These are undertaken by Approved Inspection Stations.
