Psychosocial incident or issue

Psychosocial hazards are aspects of work or situations that may cause psychological or physical harm.

If you have experienced or been affected by a psychosocial incident or issue at a Queensland mine or quarry, you can report it directly to Resources Safety & Health Queensland's (RSHQ) psychosocial team on 1300 581 077 or email psychosocial@rshq.qld.gov.au. If you are in immediate danger, phone Triple Zero (000).

General mining complaints

If you think a mine site has broken the law or is dangerous, you should raise the issue with your supervisor or the site senior executive, either in person or through your site safety and health representative.

If your concerns are not addressed, you should contact a mines inspector or your regional office by phone or in writing.

• Coal Inspectorate
• Mineral Mines and Quarries Inspectorate.

We will log your complaint on our complaints database. A mines inspector will then conduct an investigation, which could involve a site inspection.

As required by law, the complaint process is completely confidential. Your name will not be revealed.

When the investigation is complete, you will be advised of the results.
