Have your say on the Logan Basin water plan review

Consultation on the draft Logan Basin water plan (PDF, 1.3MB) is now open.

All feedback must be submitted to us by 30 April 2026.

Your feedback should include anything you'd like us to consider before we finalise the Logan Basin water plan. Provide as much detail as possible.

Include your contact details if you are happy for us to contact you to discuss your feedback.

The scope of this review is limited to the management and allocation of water within the Logan Basin water plan area. Any issues or comments relating to the assessment or approval of infrastructure proposals should be referred to the Office of the Coordinator-General.

Timeline

Current status

We are currently at step 3 of the consultation timeline which means that the draft plan is now available for public consultation.

Consultation timeline

From when we start a review to when the new water plan is formally adopted takes several years.

  • Step 1 (2023): We ask everyone for their ideas and suggestions through public consultation.
  • Step 2 (2024–25): We review feedback and use technical assessments to develop the draft new water plan.
  • Step 3 (2026): We release the draft for second round of public consultation.
  • Step 4 (2026): We review and finalise the new water plan.
  • Step 5 (2026): We put the new water plan in place.

Future status

Step 4: We review feedback received in step 3 and finalise the new water plan in 2026.

Step 5: The new water plan will be in place in 2026.
