Vietnam Veterans' Day

Vietnam Veterans’ Day is commemorated on 18 August, the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, one of the most significant conflicts for Australian service personnel.

Australians played a significant role during the Vietnam War, with over 60,000 ground troops, air force and navy personnel serving in Vietnam from 1962 to 1973.
