Urban management area maps
The maps below are indicative only, and show the urban flying-fox management areas (UFFMAs) for each local government area in Queensland. To confirm whether a particular flying-fox roost is inside or outside the UFFMA, you should generate a localised UFFMA map.
Note: Only local governments are authorised as-of-right under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 to manage, flying-fox roosts that fall within UFFMAs.
Notice of Urban Flying-fox Management Area Map amendment - Cloncurry Local Government Area
Commencing 2 February 2026, the Urban Flying-fox Management Area Map has been amended to increase the size of the Cloncurry Urban Flying-Fox Management Area.
The increase in management area was approved under the Nature Conservation (Animals) Regulation 2020 in response to a request from the Cloncurry Shire Council, and the amendment was made to address potential impacts identified by Council in the new areas on human health and well-being.
