Harvesting licence

General information

The Nature Conservation Act 1992 allows for the sustainable harvesting of a range of native species, including macropods. However, these species may only be taken during a harvest period declared for the species.

The Nature Conservation (Macropod) Conservation Plan 2017 applies to the taking of macropods.

Permits and approvals

To apply for this licence, lodge a completed application form.

A wildlife harvesting license (macropods) is required if you want to harvest macropods for personal use.
