Module BA - Grants and vestings

This module will help you determine the requirements for when native title is extinguished by:

  • a freehold grant
  • a leasehold grant
  • a vesting of fee-simple or exclusive possession
  • another interest.

These grants or vestings are known as previous exclusive possession acts (PEPA).

The questions in this decision tool will help you determine whether your proposed dealing can proceed (if native title has been extinguished by a PEPA).

You must complete this module and module BB together to fully understand how a PEPA will affect your proposed dealing.
