Urinary system infections
Urinary infections are very common, particularly with increasing age, though they are also common in young infants. They are more common in women than in men. About 250 000 Australians develop a urinary infection each year. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 20 men will develop a urinary infection during their lifetime.
