Glomerulonephritis

Glomerulonephritis is a kidney disease where the kidney filtering structures, the glomeruli, are infected. Glomerulonephritis may be temporary or it may get worse. Progressive glomerulonephritis may result in the destruction of the kidney glomeruli and renal failure. The disease may be caused by specific infection, but the precise cause of some cases is unknown.
