Supercharged Solar for Renters
The Supercharged Solar for Renters program is now open.
The program, which opened on 12 December 2025, provides eligible landlords with rebates of up to $3,500 to install solar on their rental properties.
Solar systems on rental properties are great for both landlords and tenants.
The program is expected to help about 6,500 households save around $700 per year on their electricity bills, depending on where they live and the size of their solar system.
For landlords, a solar system can make rental properties more appealing to prospective tenants, increase property value, and provide a point of difference in the rental market.
Landlords and tenants can use the solar for rentals calculator to estimate potential return on investment and savings on electricity bills based on your location, energy usage, electricity plan and system size.
