The Office of Fair Trading is Queensland’s marketplace regulator and administers various marketplace laws that set out the rights and responsibilities of consumers, businesses and certain licensed occupations.

Their services include:

  • providing information and advice to consumers and businesses
  • consumer complaint conciliation
  • investigations and enforcement
  • occupational licensing and registration
  • not-for-profit registration
  • scam awareness education.

This session will provide an overview of Office of Fair Trading’s functions and important information about consumer rights and scam awareness.
