Vehicle types that must be registered

Get a registration quote

All motor vehicles driven on Queensland roads must be registered. Examples  include:

  • cars, utes, or motorcycles
  • caravans or light trailers
  • heavy vehicles—vehicles with weight over 4.5t gross vehicle mass
  • special interest vehicles—such as vintage cars and hot rods
  • motorised mobility devices (motorised wheelchair/mobility scooter).
