Speak OUT: Real talk. Real change.
Are you 12–25 and ready to shape Queensland’s future?
Speak OUT is your chance to connect, create, and be heard – on your terms.
This is more than a consultation – Speak OUTs are a statewide movement powered by the voices, ideas and energy of young Queenslanders.
Speak OUT is a space for real talk and real impact, whether you’re into:
- climate action
- mental wellbeing
- education
- employment
- fairness
- sharing what matters most in your community.
Why get involved
Make your voice count where it matters – right at the heart of government decisions.
Our events are:
- inclusive
- creative
- designed to let your strengths shine.
Team up with other young people who care about the same things you do.
There are many ways to Speak OUT – it’s all about what feels right for you. You can:
- chat
- write
- draw
- brainstorm.
Explore big ideas, share your lived experience and help create stronger, more connected communities.
What happens next
What you share helps shape government policy, programs and services across Queensland. Your insights go straight into action through reports that inform the decisions of every agency.
So far, more than 7,000 young people have taken part and we’re just getting started. Now it’s your turn.
Want to organise a Speak OUT session in your area?
We’re always on the lookout for opportunities to host Speak OUT sessions with passionate young Queenslanders. Whether you’re a community member, organisation, school, teacher or a young person, anyone is welcome to request a Speak OUT in their community.
Email us at youth@housing.qld.gov.au if you are interested in hosting a Speak OUT session.
Together we can bring young people’s ideas to the forefront of government conversations!
