If you have been involved in a natural disaster such as a flood, bushfire, cyclone or severe storm, the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) can help you recover by providing technical and general advice on a wide range of rebuilding issues.

Taking care of your property after a natural disaster

Natural disasters can cause damage to land and water infrastructure. If you have been involved in a natural disaster such as a flood, cyclone or severe storm, you may have sustained damage to your land or surrounding property. Information is available for landholders who need to:

  • repair or replace water infrastructure, such as pumps, bores or weirs
  • remove debris or clear vegetation
  • assess the impact of a natural disaster on your land valuation
  • defer your land rent or instalment.
