Queensland Intermediary Scheme

Queensland Courts provides support to vulnerable witnesses such as children, victims of sexual assault and people with intellectual disability help to reduce the trauma of giving evidence in court through the Queensland Intermediary Scheme.

Assistance includes:

  • allowing access to a support person in court
  • providing support devices so you don’t have to see the accused person.
  • closing the court to the public and media
  • providing the option to record your evidence or give it over remote video connection

Court Link

Court Link is an integrated court assessment, referral and support program. It assists participants by connecting them with treatment and support services to address housing, employment, drug and alcohol, health and other social needs.

Interpreter services

Queensland Courts provide third party interpreter services to assist people who have difficulty communicating:

  • English interpreters
  • Sign language interpreters.

Protect all children today (PACT)

PACT is a dedicated group of professionally supported volunteers that supports victims of crime. Volunteers are trained to assist you before, during and after the court proceedings.
