Nominate a legal professional to move your admission to the legal profession in Queensland.

You can use this service to nominate a legal professional to move your application for admission.
You must submit your completed application online. See How to nominate a mover for your admission for the full application process.
What you should know
The nominee mover must be a legal practitioner. They must hold a current practising certificate unless they are a government lawyer.
Before submitting this form you must:
- file your application for admission (DOCX, 66KB) and affidavit of compliance (DOCX, 31KB) with the Brisbane Supreme Court registry
- provide them to the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board.
You must submit your application to nominate a mover at least 19 days before your admission sitting.
If you need to change your nominated mover, you must resubmit the form immediately with the updated information.
Who can use this service
You can nominate a mover for your admission if:
- you are applying to be admitted to the legal profession in Queensland.
Don't use this service if:
- you haven't filed your application for admission and affidavit of compliance
Instead, apply after you have filed them.
How to nominate a mover for your admission
Follow these steps to submit your application online.
Step 1: Gather your documents
Gather:
- your application for admission file number
- sitting date
- nominated mover details including
- their current practising capacity
- the date they began practicing in this role
- the state or territory of their admission or appointment.
Step 2: Complete the form
Complete the application form.
Step 3: Receive an outcome
You'll receive confirmation your application has been received.
How long it takes
Processing time begins when a complete application is received.
Standard application: up to 10 business days
Urgent application: not available.
