Understand the rules you must follow for SPER enforcement orders in Queensland.

These rules apply to State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) enforcement orders.
They help you understand:
- what happens if you don’t follow the enforcement order
- what the penalties are for not complying.
Not following an enforcement order can have serious consequences. You may face extra charges or enforcement actions under the State Penalties Enforcement Act 1999.
You must
To comply with the rules in Queensland you must:
- follow the terms stated in the enforcement order
- make payment or negotiate a payment plan to settle the debt amount owed by the due date
- act on the terms stated in the relevant notice of intention by the due date
- act on the terms stated in the enforcement warrant by the due date.
You cannot
To comply with the rules in Queensland you cannot:
- avoid the debt by giving false information, selling, transferring or moving property.
Exceptions and special circumstances
If you are experiencing hardship, you may be eligible to pay your debt by instalments or apply for a work and development order.
