Maternity staff and midwives can apply to use the Service Provider Portal to submit notices of birth.
You can download or order birth registration flyers and posters to help parents know what to do.
What you should know
To sign up and use the Service Provider Portal you need a Queensland Digital Identity.
Before we give you access:
- maternity staff
- we will check that you work at the maternity ward at the hospital
- midwives
- we will check you are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
If you work at a Queensland Health hospital, check with your manager to see if birth notices are sent to us using Single File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

There are flyers that you can either download and print or submit an online order form. These include:
- flyers you can download include:
- birth registration information in 6 other languages
- birth registration information for parents of a stillborn baby
- early pregnancy loss recognition.
- other items you can order include:
- A5 pamphlets
- A4 flyers
- postcards
- posters in A3 and A4.
