Repaying your bond loan
You must repay your bond loan within the loan agreement terms. Each person listed on the loan agreement is responsible for ensuring the full loan amount is repaid. You can pay it back earlier if you wish.
Contact the Bond Loan Arrears team on 1800 501 702 if you are having difficulty making your repayments.
Checking your loan balance
You can check the balance of your outstanding loan with our bond loan balance tool or via the Housing Assist Qld app.
To check your balance, you will need your bond loan number and date of birth.
Payment methods
You can repay your bond loan using the following methods.
If you get Centrelink payments, using the free Rent Deduction Scheme (RDS) to make your bond loan repayments is a condition of your bond loan approval.
With RDS, your repayments are deducted from your Centrelink payments and sent to us each fortnight.
RDS can be set up for each applicant responsible for making repayments. You can decide how much each applicant will pay, however the total amount must meet the required monthly repayment amount.
When processing your bond loan application, we will ask you to complete the Easy Pay Deduction Authority for housing payments form (PDF, 729 KB). Each applicant can only set up one RDS repayment at a time.
After your loan has been processed you can choose to stop using RDS and select another repayment method instead. Contact us to discuss your options if you don't want to use RDS:
- phone Housing Services on 13 QGOV (13 74 68)

- contact your nearest Housing Service Centre.
You can use phone or internet banking to make your bond loan repayments with BPay.
The BPay Biller code is 747337. You can find your payment reference number online or via the free Housing Assist Qld app. It is also printed on your payment slip.
You can use a savings, cheque, or debit card account when repaying your loan with BPay. If you use a debit card, your financial institution may charge a fee.
Use your repayment barcode to make your bond loan repayments at any Australia Post Office or Queensland Government service office.
You can find your barcode online or via the free Housing Assist Qld app.
If you use other payment methods, such as Rent Deduction Scheme, you can still use the repayment barcode to make extra payments.
You can set up an automatic payment with your financial institution to transfer your bond loan repayments from your account to us.
The repayments can only be taken from one account. You can also pay arrears and other debts using this method.
Contact your financial institution to set up an automatic payment. They may charge a fee for using this service.
