What you should know
Newly appointed JPs and Cdecs can be paired with an experienced JP or Cdec in a mentoring program which is part of our JPs in the Community program.
Mentoring gives new JPs and Cdecs the opportunity to build confidence, gain skills, better understand their role and how they can serve the public as a witnessing officer.
Mentoring takes place at community signing sites. These may include shopping centres, libraries, courts, universities and hospitals.
All necessary stationery (stamps, handbooks, logbooks, pens and rules) are provided at the signing sites.

You can express your interest in the mentor program if
